Improve communication and engagement between residents, businesses and city leadership

  • Productive collaboration between residents, businesses and the city

  • Implement quarterly Listen, Learn, Lead meetings between myself and residents

  • A personal commitment of being accessible and accountable to my constituents

  • Foster a conducive environment at city council meetings where residents feel comfortable to voice/ express their desires and concerns

  • Increase awareness of current programs, and services that are offered and available to Oakland County residents

Establish sustainable solutions for our community to flourish in present and future

  • Thoughtful consideration of any and all development projects wanting to build within city limits

  • Solutions for new community center

  • Improve infrastructure while preserving the character that makes Ferndale unique

  • Preservation of historical buildings

  • Continue to invest in green initiatives for residents and at the city-wide level

  • Continual preservation of city parks

  • Enhance home repair assistance programs for seniors

  • Continue rezoning initiatives to implement solutions for missing middle housing

reSPONSIBLE budgetING

Support a balanced, equitable and fiscally responsible budget

  • Indicate areas of over expenditure

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining the integrity of existing civic services

  • Identify new revenue streams

  • Proactively outline a plan for the Headlee override expiration

  • Support a diverse representative financial review committee

By engaging with community and listening to all individual and collective concerns, I will help build a bridge between the city leaders and the citizens of Ferndale.

I will continue to strengthen and build on what the city is already doing well and continue to learn what residents think that we can do better.

I will lead by being accessible, accountable and responsive in addressing the issues of our community, to ensure we are growing in the right direction and moving forward together.
